It’s been a while, but I finally posted to the TNIV Truth blog again. Just a short blurb about Rick Warren and the TNIV

In the Beginning There Was the Bestseller

CBS Sunday Morning did a piece on Bible publishing this morning. (Thanks to my parents for giving me the heads up.) Page two of the online story has an interview with Denzel Washington about his role in The Bible Experience.

The Bible Experience is a dramatization of the TNIV performed by a cast of African-American celebrities like Washinton, Samuel L. Jackson, Blair Underwood, Angela Bassett, Cuba Gooding Jr, etc. I helped Zondervan launch the New Testament last fall.

You can also listen to the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection, as told by The Bible Experience.

I’ve added another post to the TNIV Truth blog. You can read it here

I just contributed my first post to the TNIV Truth blog, addressing the criticism that the TNIV overlooks details of meaning in favor of capturing just the “basic idea” of a passage.

Rick Mansfield has posted an open letter to Zondervan on his blog, encouraging them to step up their support for the TNIV.

I’ll write about the TNIV soon, but for now I’ll just say that I think Rick makes several good points. I hope my friends at Zondervan take his letter to heart.
